KumiChem™ Wins Best Potential Award at BIE Japan Workshop 2026

DLeader’s KumiChem™ project received the Best Potential Award at BIE Japan Workshop 2026, held April 20–24, 2026, at Kyoto Research Park. The team was also selected to represent the workshop at HVC Kyoto 2026.

During the workshop, the team refined the business proposition for KumiChem™, DLeader’s AI platform supporting RNA therapeutic design for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. The award recognized the team’s rigorous approach to aligning its technology with market needs.

Building on the insights and international connections gained through the program, DLeader will continue advancing KumiChem™ and strengthening collaborations with pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology companies, and research institutions.

BIE—Biomedical Innovation and Entrepreneurship—is a practical training program that helps translate biomedical research into viable products and businesses. The 2026 Japan workshop was organized by Dr. Tomoyoshi Koyanagi of iACT, Kyoto University Hospital, with support from the Kansai Startup Academia Coalition (KSAC), the Centre for Innovative Medical Research (CIMR) in Sydney, Australia, and SPARK Global.
